Novem Digital Risk Platform

About this project

Novem Digital’s Digital Risk Platform (DRP) is a cloud-ready application that unifies site health, predictive operations, building intelligence, and capital planning. The platform ingests live and historical data from ScriptString’s Enterprise Asset Advisor, runs a configurable risk-scoring engine and health matrix, and surfaces everything in a modern React dashboard with embedded analytics (Superset), interactive maps, and response protocols. We delivered the full stack—frontend, API, integrations, and security—with clear UX, consistent risk visualisation (0–100 score, Green/Yellow/Red), and a structure ready for sensors and AI-driven insights.

The Challenge

Novem needed a single pane of glass for site health, risk, and capital planning—integrating ScriptString EAA and other sources, with a consistent risk language and room for predictive and IoT data. The solution had to be secure, maintainable, and human- and SEO-friendly.

Our Approach

We built a React 19 + TypeScript front end with TanStack Query, Recharts, and embedded Superset, and an Express/Node backend that normalises ScriptString and BigWave data, runs a configurable risk engine (0–100 score), and exposes health endpoints. The DRP includes predictive modules (Arc Flash, Wildfire, Transformers, Mechanical, Water Leak), a “Know your building” layer for sensors (vibration, weather, decibel, air quality, energy), and capital planning with machinery risk. Security (Helmet, CORS, rate limiting) and clear labels support both operations and compliance.
